Also, with each edit made, more blank lines come in between each line of code.

Okay, I tried to highlight the areas inside the code, but that in turn became code. Look at all the areas in the second snippet that are surrounded by tags.

I’m having trouble keeping my code stable when others edit a DD page/block. For example, I have a page that has a slideshow script embedded as such:

No, just a folder – we barely upgraded to the version with Sites and haven’t used them yet.
